Jan Eitzen: Mrs.
My mother was from a conservative Mennonite family who sang without instruments. I grew up with this beautiful music and am still a Mennonite, though not as conservative. Having sung in a family group, and having lost the brother-in-law in our group long before I hoped we would, I can't imagine losing so many family members at once.
May God comfort you in His arms with the wonderful memories you have of the family to sustain you. What a blessing to have the CD's as a way of remembering them. It is as if they're singing to us from Paradise.
I'll be calling to order a couple CDs. I hope they're still available.

Anonymous: Thanks
I'm currently "bawling my eyes out" because I just listened to your clip of "I'll bear you up" and the last time I heard that song, it was sung by a dear friend of mine who had a tragic accident and won't be singing again for a long time. But thanks for the encouragement! Your songs make a difference.

Sheila: God Bless You All
Doing my constant research on Amish and Mennonites, I came across this site. I shed tears as I read about the tragedy that struck this beautiful and talented family, yet I rejoice, knowing they are with the Lord now, lifting their voices in song praising Him, as they did here on earth. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the remaining Esh family. You obviously have faced this difficult time with grace and dignity. I know what it's like to lose a loved one. I lost my beloved dad on Jan. 19, 2004, and more recently, lost my precious sister to cancer on August 14, 2010. My prayer is that the Lord will continually and richly bless those of the Esh family who remain.
In His Love,
Sheila

THEODORA M: God Had Need of Them
I am a black women in Pennsylvania who heard about the lost of your family. I have been listening to the Eshes CD Home and was and suffering along with you. I at first couldn't understand the why of your situation but remembered that I went through the same thing with a wonderful family member. At his funeral the minster said that we don't understand why God took him but maybe GOD HAD NEED OF HIM IN HEAVEN. From that day I was comforted. I believe the same of your family God had need of them in heaven. We can't understand it all, but as the hymn says we will understand it all by and by. Please know that their wonderful music and evangelism has brought people of different races and cultures together and will continue on.

Stock Family: Blessings, love and prayers
Our family has just learned of the Esh Family's accident via the Heartbeat of the Remnant's article in their most recent issue. Though we have never met this family, we grieve the loss with you and take joy in knowing their eternal home. What a beautiful...BEAUTIFUL testimony they have left behind in their music...not to mention other ave.s of encouragement such as written articles. We just thank the LORD for putting on Mr. Esh's heart to speak the truth in love and to be such a Godly influence to all those around him and far away! If only we could all leave this earth having touched so many souls and having the opportunity to reach out aross our land for the purpose of telling others of The Lord Jesus Christ and His Word! Husband and I have been married almost 19 years and have four boys and a girl that we are raising for the LORD. They know well of the Eshes and hope to get to know them better as time goes buy through all the blessings and testimonies they have left for generations to come. To God be the Glory!

When I first heard them singing on one of theCD's, I got goosebumps!! and I had a hard time swallowing for the lump in my throat. I said to my friend, the beautiful voices are forever stilled here below but they are singing to the Lamb!!
I cannot imagine the pain of losing so many family members! May God hold you close.

Willard Hochstetler: As we wait on the Lord
We know our loving God has reasons for all He allows to happen, yet some times we struggle with why? We need to truly trust Him because He knows all and why.
I love to listen to your CDs as I drive back and forth to my parents house to take care of them as they are both in wheelchairs, waiting for the Lord to call them home.
Please pray for me as I care for them.
For Christ,
Janetta

Becky: May the God of peace be with you
My heart and prayers have been with you-all ever since we heard of the accident. I don't know anyone of the Esh's personally though I've met Verna at Lizzie Kreider's funeral, and would have seen John & Sadie and some of the others as a child, since my parents (Phares & MaryAnn Fisher) knew John & Sadie as young folks. Also I'm a cousin on the Fisher side to Reuben & Sadie Stoltzfus' children. But whether acquainted or no, our love and prayers have been with you as we followed the story and listened to the singing. I never did know what to say to those grieving, and I know even less what to say after having experienced a close death in the family when my husband's twelve year old brother passed away very suddenly three years ago. All I can say is that God is still GOD and He is faithful!
Look to Him,

As you know your story has impact many many people. I have a chance to sing your song "home" at a family and youth retreat in a few weeks. I was wondering if i could get an email with the sheet music for it. I would be willing to pay whatever ya'll want. I'm excited about the impact it will have but i feel a little unsure about singing it with only the CD for guidence. Diana Winkler: Danke!!

Myra Corbin: Bless you!
I cannot imagine the pain that your family has endured. I can only express my sympathies to all of you. As a Christian I know that there is a place much better than this place and that our Lord is waiting for us there. Knowing this we can be assured that our loves ones are there singing and worshipping the Savior. I ran across this the other day and hope it will lend some comfort to your family:
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
May God bless you all! Myra Corbin Campbellsville,KY
